My mom bought two of these for my stepkids in preparation for Christmas, and they were *enthralled*! They couldn't wait every day to get their Advent calendar and find that day's chocolate. One thing I love most about this version is that the days are not in order--it's kind of a puzzle and you have to hunt to find that day's number, and the kids LOVED hunting for it! They also enjoyed the small piece of "The Night Before Christmas" under each window. The chocolates were tasty, too!
Sadly, my dog got ahold of them and destroyed them (thank goodness she didn't suffer any ill effects from eating the chocolate!). I thought the world was going to end in our house, my stepkids were that upset. So naturally I jumped on Amazon and ordered two replacements. It was late in the season so I ended up paying more in shipping than for the actual products, but it was worth it to restore the joy of Advent calendars! All was well once they arrived.
We'll definitely be ordering these next year!

We had the Advent Calendar shipped to my daughter in college to continue a tradition she has known all of her life. This was a huge "hit" for her since she was missing home and the normal pre-Christmas fun that goes on in our house.
The picture of the advent calendar is a scene from Santa's workshop and contains numbered flaps that correspond to the date in December and conceal a piece of chocolate and a few lines from the poem "The Night Before Christmas". The numbers are not in order so some hunting has to be done to locate that day's treat, which is also fun.
This was a great find for us and we were happy that it arrived quickly after ordering it.
Highly Recommended!

I was able to order this online without any problem and it was quickly sent to my 9 yr. old grandson who lives in another state. He loved it! He loved that each chocolate was molded into a different shape. He told me the chocolate was delicious. His dad said that it was something he looked forward to each day and it was a great success! I certainly will order again next Christmas!

My five-year-old thoroughly enjoyed this advent calendar. The picture of Santa's workshop is visually interesting. She could open the windows without assistance. I didn't taste the chocolates myself, but she certainly gobbled them up. Last, it was packaged well.

This calendar is perfect! It helps build the anticipation for Christmas even more (as if it was needed). It also helps our 3 yr-old understand the concept of time a bit better and helps him wait patiently for Christmas. Each day we open a new window, read a part of the story and eat a delicious chocolate. I was actually anticipating the chocolate to be of fair to poor quality, but I was so pleasantly surprised! The quality of the chocolate is superior to many of the chocolate products sold in stores. It has a fine and delicate taste with a definite chocolate flavor (nothing artificial or stale-tasting). I absolutely recommend this item!
